We were picked in Porto and given a ride to our hotel in Pinhão. Sergio set up our bikes and was super helpful! He even had to run a get different pedals for us which was awesome! The wine, port and food in the Douro region is fantastic. The views are amazing and the biking was epic. It was a super relaxing and rewarding bike tour in Douro Valley.

Memorable experience! Literally everything was 5 star. They went above and beyond to accommodate. This bike tour in the Douro valley was an amazing way to interact with the country side. Also, there is something about showing up to the vineyards on bike that make you stand out from the van tours 😎🚲

We just finished a fabulous biking trip in northern Portugal with Live Love Ride. Over five days we cycled (with E-bikes, although some in our group chose regular bikes) southwest along the Lima River to the Atlantic coast, then northwest along the Minho River. We had two guides from LLR, Sergio and Joaquim who were great–both with details, logistics and with providing good company. We went with friends from the US we’ve known for years and then had the good fortune to have in our cycling group 3 from Australia and a family of 5 from South Africa. We all got on tremendously well, rode as one group and had most of meals together. Meals–in hotels and local restaurants ranged from very good to excellent. And hotels, chosen by LLR were also very good. My wife and I moved to Lisbon a year ago and had not traveled this far north in Portugal until now and we love it. Hoping we return soon and also do another bike tour in Portugal with LLR.

I love to bike at home, and this was an incredible opportunity to explore Portugal by bike with an experienced guide. The bikes were fantastic: well maintained carbon bikes that zipped up the hills in Sintra. Live Love Ride helped get us organized even before we arrived in Lisbon. We sent over our bike size, helmet size, and preferred pedals. All we had to bring were our shoes! They clearly communicated the logistics prior to our booking which made the process smooth and stress free. André was a great guide. He picked us up promptly at the hotel in Lisbon before we drove to Sintra. We did some minor bike adjustments and we were off! The climbs were tough and the downhills rewarding, and with two stops for pastries and coffee, you can’t go wrong. This tour was a true highlight of our trip and I cannot recommend it enough. I hope to do another bike tour in Portugal with LLR soon!

Wonderful bike tour on the island of Sao Miguel in the Acores. Everything well organized and the application assured a safe and easy ride. Beautiful countryside and excellent accommodations. Great way to discover the island.

The routes they curated were perfect—we cycled through incredibly scenic views, stopped by cultural places of interest, and the riding distances were perfect. Each stop at local restaurants offered fabulous and delicious authentic flavors of Portugal and the accommodations were very comfortable. Their efficiency and attention to detail made everything seamless, allowing us to relax and thoroughly enjoy the ride. And both of them were very good company! We had many meals together of good conversations and great humour. We can’t recommend booking a bike tour in the Portuguese Camino with Live Love Ride enough. We have had a great experience in preparing the our self-guided bike tour in Portugal. The LLR team was very responsive and flexible in building a tour according to our demands. We didn’t take the standard 6-days package: we added a few resting days to the 6-days cycling and we requested for selected lodging. The tour itself was also great, thanks to it being well prepared by the team, the nice weather and the warm and hospitable portugese people (!). The time of the year was well choosen – we didn’t have the summer heat – which made it a very nice encounter with the Alentejo and the Algarve. After more than 30 years, it was a lovely reencounter with Portugal and the Portugese people.

We have about 8 couples that routinely do bike tours in Europe. So far this was the best. The majority of us did e-bike, some for the first time, and it was a great experience. Andre, Joaquin, Oscar were fantastic bike guides. Daniel is the wizard behind the screen so to speak, herding all of us, finding restaurants, supporting our ride, and providing historical insight. Some of us became a bit weary of all of the cod/meat. If I did the trip again, I would order more soup/salad & if I ordered a meat dish, I would share. A great add-on would be a visit to a place where olives are processed. They do have a less physically aggressive family trip along the Douro. I would like to return for that to have more time to explore on my own. I highly recommend this bike tour company in Portugal.

We chose the Marvao to Evora self-guided 5 day ride recommended by friends in New Zealand. Marvao proved to be a delightful hilltop town near the Spanish border where we explored the town and castle and ate fabulous food at Fago restaurant before starting the cycle the next day. All the upgraded accommodation was outstanding with beautiful pools which we certainly needed when arriving after days riding in 36 degree temperatures. We decided not to do the optional final day loop ride Evora-Evora as it was still so hot and we enjoyed our day wandering around the medieval town. Some days were a little longer than we expected – it pays to carefully check your schedule before you start. Overall a fabulous experience riding on fantastic, safe roads through gorgeous scenery – fields of cork trees, acres and acres of olive plantations, grape vines, wafts of wild roadside fennel, interesting towns plus we ate fabulous food. Live Love Ride provided us with great bikes (both conventional & eBike), and a very efficient service transporting us to the start, moving luggage between hotels and a final transfer back to Lisbon from Evora. The highlights from our Alentejo bicycle tour were staying at the fantastic Sao Laurenco do Barrocal farm hotel and riding up to Monsaraz the next morning to view Europe’s largest man-made lake, before continuing on to Evora. Highly recommended.

We have just finished a 5 day bike tour in Portugal’s Silver Coast with LiveLoveRide. The overall experience was excellent. The whole thing was very professionally organized while the team kept a nice personal touch, for example preparing alternate routes when we had a weather enforced day off the bikes. The hotels we stayed in were very comfortable and accommodating, providing easy safe places to keep the bicycles and a warm welcome. The bikes themselves were from Scott. Good equipment, perfect for the riding we were doing and (very importantly) perfectly maintained. We had absolutely no mechanicals at all – not even a single missed gear change. The routes were very well laid out in the provided GPS making navigation easy. This all combined so that we could relax and enjoy amazing riding in beautiful scenery. One thing that made a real difference was the LiveLoveRide app – this is like a complete dossier for the trip including details of bikes, routes, emergency contact details, hotels and even restaurant recommendations. Really handy as it made it easy to find a great place to eat after a long day in the saddle. A great option for riding in Spain or Portugal.

Getting to know a bit more of Lisbon’s silver coast on two wheels with the LLR team was unforgettable. They made all the difference improving my whole experience.

I booked a one day ride around Évora, Ricardo picked me up at the Four Seasons Ritz hotel in Lisbon and we drove out to ride in Évora. We rode for three hours around the area rolling hills through lovely cork forests, up to an ancient stone cropping. Ricardo was an excellent guide and wonderful host. The bike was really great quality. We then had lunch at an amazing restaurant in the heart of the medieval city. The ride was well planned and the whole day went smoothly. I highly recommend booking a Portugal bike tour with Live Love Ride.

Communication was excellent via email with Ricardo at Live Love Ride before we arrived in Douro. On the day of the Fondo everything was planned to perfection. Pedro did above and beyond for us, leaving us to the venue, providing top of the range bikes and meeting us after the event, allowing us plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful Douro River after event. We would totally recommend these guys, a professional and top class service. We are already looking at options for next year!
