TOURING BIKE TOURS IN PORTUGAL

We had the experience of a lifetime with our tour guides on our 6 day bike tour around the Minho Valley. We would 100% recommend Live Love Ride for a bike tour in Portugal, for the following reasons: 1. The bicycles (both e-bikes and traditional) were very high quality and were maintained perfectly so there were no mechanical issues. 2. The restaurants and accommodation chosen are all first class. The pool and cold drinks at the end of a warm day’s riding were most welcome! 3. By keeping the rider size to a small number (we had 12), the camaraderie and rapport of the group was allowed to develop. We made very strong connections with our group. 4. Most of all, the care and consideration of our tour guides was exceptional. They worked tirelessly to make sure everything was right and everyone was happy. No request was too great and they were mindful and accommodating of the different skill levels in the riding group.

Our guides Daniel and Joaquim demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and a genuine dedication to ensuring a memorable and safe journey. The routes they curated were perfect—we cycled through incredibly scenic views, stopped by cultural places of interest, and the riding distances were perfect. It was clear they put a lot of thoughtful planning into creating an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone. Each stop at local restaurants offered fabulous and delicious authentic flavors of Portugal and the accommodations were very comfortable. Their efficiency and attention to detail made everything seamless, allowing us to relax and thoroughly enjoy the ride. And both of them were very good company! We had many meals together of good conversations and great humour. We can’t recommend booking a bike tour in the Portuguese Camino with Live Love Ride enough. 10 friends from AK traveled to Portugal to take a break from all the responsibilities of marriage, motherhood and work for 10 days. Not sure if Live Love Ride knew what they were getting themselves into but they took on the challenge. Our guides Ricardo and Rodrigo provided the perfect vacation for us. Beautiful restaurants, challenging but not demoralizing biking and hiking, Portuguese cultural experiences, boat rides, port and wine tastings and the list goes on. I’m excited to bring my family back for a visit and I have no doubt Ricardo and Rodrigo will provide the same quality of care and memory making opportunities that we all experienced in this trip.
