The portuguese wine producing company was voted the best in the world in 2015
The portuguese company Sogrape Vinhos has been considered the best wine producer of the world in 2015. The distinction was awarded by the World Association of Writers and Journalists of Wines and Spirits (WAWWJ), that created a ranking with the top 100 producers worldwide ( of which seven are portuguese). The choice was made by a panel of critics and jornalists of this sector.
The ranking takes into account several criteria, includind awards received throughout the year, which resulted in 131 awards for the portuguese company.
Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition of making Portuguese wines known throughout the world and a long-term vision based on the marketing of quality wines, the importance of new brands and their presentation.
