On our guided tours, your guide accompanies the journey in the support vehicle, remaining nearby throughout the day to provide assistance, meet you along the route and help everything run smoothly. You follow our carefully designed cycling routes using GPS navigation, giving you the freedom to ride at your own pace rather than having to follow a guide wheel-to-wheel.
For groups of six or more guests, we also include a second guide who rides with the group. This means larger groups benefit from support both on the road and from the vehicle throughout the cycling stages.
Your guides handle much more than navigation. They take care of luggage and transfers, bike support, daily briefings and adjustments to the itinerary when necessary. They can also help with restaurant recommendations and reservations, winery visits and other local experiences along the way.

One of the advantages of the way we operate our guided cycling holidays is that you don’t necessarily have to ride together at exactly the same speed.
Your guide follows the journey in the support vehicle, meeting you at different points during the day and remaining available whenever assistance is needed. If somebody wants to shorten a ride, needs help with a mechanical issue or simply wants advice on where to stop, there is someone nearby to help.
This works particularly well for couples, families and groups of friends with different cycling abilities. Faster cyclists can enjoy the route at their own rhythm, while more relaxed riders have the reassurance of knowing the support vehicle is nearby.
For groups of six or more, a second guide joins the riders on the bike. Larger groups therefore have both a cycling guide on the road and another guide operating the support vehicle, allowing us to provide support at different points throughout the group.

There are two ways to experience many of our guided cycling holidays: travel privately with your own group or join one of our scheduled departures.
A private guided tour is ideal for couples, families and groups of friends who want to travel together and keep the experience within their own group. Depending on the tour and availability, private departures can also offer greater flexibility around dates and the rhythm of the journey.
Our scheduled guided departures are designed for travelers who enjoy meeting other cyclists and sharing the experience. We keep these groups small, with a maximum of eight riders, allowing the experience to remain personal and giving our guides the opportunity to support everyone properly.
When a group reaches six guests, we add a second guide who rides with the group, alongside the guide supporting the journey from the vehicle.

On a guided bike tour, a dedicated local guide and support vehicle accompany the trip, taking care of many of the practical details and providing assistance throughout the cycling stages. Groups of six or more also have a second guide cycling with the riders.
On a self-guided bike tour, we still arrange the route, bike, accommodation and logistics, but you ride independently and receive remote rather than continuous on-the-ground support.
Choose guided if you value local knowledge, flexibility and the reassurance of having someone nearby throughout the journey.
Choose self-guided if independence is more important and you prefer to manage the rhythm of the trip largely on your own.

For groups of up to five guests, your guide normally accompanies the journey from the support vehicle rather than cycling beside you throughout the entire ride. You follow the planned route using GPS navigation and can ride at your own pace, while the guide remains nearby and meets you at different points during the day.
From six guests onwards, we include a second guide who rides with the group, in addition to the guide operating the support vehicle. On our Premium tours, this second ride-along cycling guide is always included, regardless of group size.
Yes. Our multi-day guided tours include vehicle support throughout the cycling stages. The support vehicle allows the guide to assist riders along the route, carry equipment and luggage, help with mechanical problems and offer an alternative if somebody needs to shorten a ride.
Our scheduled guided groups are small, with a maximum of eight riders. From six guests onwards, the group is supported by two guides: one accompanying the riders on the bike and another supporting the journey from the vehicle.
Yes. Couples, families and groups of friends can book private guided departures on many of our tours, subject to availability and the conditions of the individual itinerary.
Yes. E-bikes are available on many of our guided tours and are particularly useful for riders who want additional assistance on climbs or for groups with different fitness levels. The available bike options are shown on each individual tour.
That is very common and our guided format is designed to accommodate it. Riders can naturally spread out along the route rather than having to remain together as a single group. The support vehicle remains available along the route, and groups of six or more also have a cycling guide riding with them.
This varies by itinerary. Breakfast is included with accommodation, while some tours include additional meals or specific gastronomic experiences. Your individual tour page will show exactly which meals are included.
Many of our guided tours include scheduled transfers at the beginning and end of the journey, often connecting the tour with Lisbon or Porto. Exact transfer arrangements vary by itinerary and are detailed on each tour page.
Your guide can provide mechanical assistance during the tour, and the support vehicle allows us to respond to issues that would be much more complicated to manage independently.
No. We operate guided tours for different cycling levels. The important thing is choosing an itinerary appropriate to your fitness and experience. E-bikes can also make more demanding destinations accessible to a broader range of riders.
Both provide continuous local support, but the service model is different. On Guided tours, a dedicated guide supports the journey from the vehicle, with an additional cycling guide included for groups of six or more. On Premium tours, the cycling guide is always included regardless of group size, alongside the support vehicle and its guide. Premium tours also feature a higher level of accommodation, gastronomy, selected experiences and overall inclusions.
